Kuvaus: Documentary about the life of Belgian refugees in a Dutch refugee camp At the beginning of the First World War, camps were set up in several Dutch cities for Belgian refugees. Gouda was one of the places that hosted the fleeing Belgians, though it is not certain that this film was actually shot there. Camp of Gouda contains images of barracks, of several dignitaries, and of people leaving a wooden church. Children go to school, and play on a field. Girls and young women make lace and sew clothing in a sewing workshop. Men make brooms. The documentary ends with shots of the meal: in a large barrack, women with huge pans distribute the food.
